 Advantages and disadvantages of piracy

    Piracy has always been a very polemic topic. Goverment has fought against it using advertisement and trying to forbid it in several countries. It is a fact that piracy provokes economical problems, but, in the most of the cases, the price of films, books, etc has grown and grown. 

    Generally speaking, piracy  is a great problem for artists, singers, actors, filmakers and so on. They loose sales and, furthermore, many jobs are lost. Added to this, Global Economical Crisis affects to this two disadvantages.

 

    Nevertheless, this is not a reason for get the Cultures's price higher and higher. Nowdays, going to the cinema is almost considered for rich people. It is the same for buying a film, an album or a book. It is noteworthy to mention that, about the Education, its books are overpriced too. The families have to do many sacrifices to buy their children's books every course. Because of this, from my point of view, piracy has become something necessary in our lifes. If we had to pay for every cultural activity, we would be poor in the end.

    To conclude, if the prices of films, albums, books, etc. got smaller, piracy would progressively disappear. This means that piracy is just a consequence of the extremely high prices. Consequently, if the prices keep on getting high, piracy (and the problems that it implies) will be more and more present.
