8th part of my untitled story

(...) The hopelessness put an idea between his thoughts. "Am I dead?"

Adam could hardly breath. The effor of running so fast was exhausting for his thin body. He had never been very athletic. When he was a child, he used to prefer staying at home with his toys or watching cartoons rather than going outside and play with the other children. He was going to stop when the light seemed bigger. This incentive was enough to recover his strength. With a sudden sprint, he started a desesperate race.

In a few seconds, the light looked as big as the Moon. It felt warm and calming. Once he was just under it, he felt hipnotized. The shine was hurting his eyes, but he did not mind. He did not realize how his legs failed to him, nor how he felt on the floor. He did not realized how everything seemed to disappear, nor how the shine got bigger and bigger. Then, a nasty sensation invaded him with no warn. He smelt something unknown and dirty, and the space around him was a little hotter. He did not want to appart his eyes from that captivating tiny Sun, but he felt that something was going wrong. The image that he saw when he did it was even more terryfing than any other of the past.

It was the abyssal fish from the beginning. In front of him. Opened mouth. Sharp teeth. Empty eyes. Fierce hunger.

The only thing Adam could do is look at it. Stepping out from his body, two skelletal and amorphous arms appeared, making a sarcastic reverence. It was grotesque. Then, from the slimmy funnel that was the existant dark cavity between its lips appeared a woman, Muriel, again."Your fault", she said. But she did not say it once. She repeated and repeated that sentence as a creepy song. Adam could not resist more and he tried to move, but some seaweeds were firmly trapping his legs. "When did this happen?", he though, desesperate. He could see a rock near him, and an idea (bad or good, it did not matter) cossed his mind.

When the hard and irregular sphere hit that monster, making it lose one of its eyes, everything got absolutely iluminated and clear. The image was devastating (and even more with the scarying shout of the hurt creature. It was the beautiful scenery of the first dream, an impressive mixure of sea and forest. Nevertheless, it was all dead. Everything. From the most little fish to the seaweeds, that were in state of decay. Rasps and skelletons were thrown everywhere. Also, the setting was not the only thing that got clare. Suddenly, Adam recovered his memory. He was overwhelmed. He was not sure whether he was dreaming or not. It was his first unrealistic dream, and he was confused about the words of her wife. The "lightbulb" of the fish, before the explosion of light, was like if it had got faulty, so, then, everything was dark and confusing. He could still feel the presence of the monster. Next, he could feel how one of its hand catched his head and lifted him in the air, leading him to faint.

7th part of my untitled story

(...)With a fast movement, Adam got rid of "himself" and jumped into the mirror. He closed his eyes strongly because of the fear and the insecurity. "Where am I?" "Where will I go now?" "What am I supposed to do?" Those thoughts were collapsing his mind when he realised that it had not happened anything.

He could see "himself" in that room, which was falling to pieces. "That" was terryfied and damaged. "It" had a broken arm that seemed to shout "HELP!", as well as his eyes, which were a little red due to the smoke and the teardrops. For a moment, Adam thought in going out from the mirror and rescue his changed image, but this intention became useless when a great wall made it dissapear. A feeling of sadness crossed his heart despite the damage that "the man" had caused, ready to kill him. It was strange how the appearance and a behaviour of victim can do in your mind.

From inside the mirror, he felt safe. He "was" safe. In theory. The only images he could see where the ones that were in front to this magical crystal. The rest was darkness. Nevertheless, he could move. If he wanted to walk in any other direction, he was able to. As his eyes got adapted to the lack of sunshine, he coul see a little and far light. Maybe a lightbulb? It was like a little shiny moon, covered by the black and the silence of a winter night.

At first, Adam walked slowly. Very slowly. Slow enough for not falling in case of finding any obstacle. But he started feeling nervous. Without watch nor calendar, all was chaos. Thus, the idea of "caution" seemed even more and more ridiculous in his mind. He started walking more and more quickly. Then, he started running, as fiercely and fast that it hurt. That tiny light were a little bigger, but not very much. It was like if he were running in no space. The hopelessness put an idea between his thoughts. "Am I dead?"

Outlining an essay II Intr.-Concl.

Outline of an essay II Introduction-Conclussion.

I. “Being weird adds spice to life. Having weird friends just deepens the flavor” (Jayelle Cochran). Because of this, it seems to me strange how people judge someone without knowing him or her just because looks, acts or talks "weard". Many times, me -or some friends- have been objects of derision just for a simple fact: we like anime, manga and videogames: "the pipical freak". Some of this kind of people have suffered bullying, and have passed cruel moments. Nevertheless, they can be undesrtood and know people like them in special conventions, where this tipe of entertaining is shown, practiced and sold.  Although the bad general opinion that people have about otakus and freaks's conventions in general, they are a great way to socialise and have fun at the same time that you learn new and interesting things.

II. The people that goes to this kind of events is very polite and outgoing, in addition to their likeability.
    A. Similar hobbies.
    B. Similar things that they like such as videogames, animes, mangas, TV series or movies.
       1. These people want to do new friends and have fun with their previous ones.
       2. The similar likes make easy talking despite you may not know them.

III. Making a cosplay is something difficult but enjoyable.
    A. It is very fun preparing and wearing a cosplay of a character that you like.
    B. There are cosplay competitions.
      1. We could considerate this (making a cosplay) like an Art because of the difficulties of  doing it.
      2. There are gorgeous awards for the winners of these competitions.

IV. There, you can find special and entertaining activities where you can learn new and interesting things.
     A. They are made for all kind of public.
     B. You can take with you a beautiful "souvenir" from some of these activities.
        1. A few of examples of these workshops could be papiroflexia, origami, soft combat, haikus, kendo, etc.
        2. In addition, there are many talks about several topics, such as the better-known animes/mangas, Japanese culture, Japanese language, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.

V. As a conclussion, this kind of conventions offer you entertainment, culture, friendly people and, in short, and unique experience. It does not mind if you do not like "freak topics", you can just go and have fun. Otherwise, if you just do not know about it (so you do not know if you like it or not), it is a great oportunity for learning. Maybe the most remarkble idea about these events is how people is understood there. Thus, I advise you (whoever you are) to go. The more open-minded you are, the better you will be.

6th part of my untitled story

"Guilty", she said... Then, something changed. That mighty woman disappeared. The mirror was empty. Astonished, Adam got closer to it, and, for a second, it looked like a normal mirror giving his image back. But it was just for a second...

-What are you looking at?-said his own voice from that crystaline body.
-What the...?

Adam could avoid his own attack just in time. "The man of the mirror", who was just like him, got out of his "prison" and tried to hit him. His attitude was calmed, but, at the same time, powerful and energetic. It was not him. He was not as strong as "that creature", so he suppoused that "it" would not have the same weaknesses. The only way to still entire was run. "That man" could see with his black eyes his intentions, as if they were written on his forehead. They were not exacty equals. Apart from the eyes, there was something strange with him. It was his way of looking and the expression of his face and his whole body. All this jigsaw formed the opposite of Adam. Self-confidence. Strength. Courage. Cruelty...

In just one blow, it broke one of the columns, and all the edifice moaned because of its lost. As a revenge, it started falling down. Pieces of pure rock were dropping everywhere: the perfect chance. Adam took advantage of the confusion and jumped out a window, closing his eyes.

Gravity disappeared. The wind stroke his face and his hair. But, suddenly, a brusque blow made him go inside that "hilarious" place. "That thing" had caught him from his nape. It was smiling, and his face was like a mad's one. Then, an idea appeared in his mind. With a fast movement, Adam got rid of "himself" and jumped into the mirror.

5th part of my untitled story

At first, Adam was looking for a safer place. Nevertheless, five -or less- minutes later, he did not know where he was going. He just kept on walking, lost in his own dream. Suddenly, he realized that he was in another place, much more different that the last one. He was in the middle of a lake. He was not able to see the horizon. Neither the dephts of that green and nasty amount of water. He felt minuscle and scared. Once again, he could not move. Maybe it passed hours, but he remained as he was, motionless, like a tiny toy. This changed when he felt something slippery and sticky going around his leg. Then, he started swimming as fast as he could, wildly. It was a real nightmare: he did not move, and that "thing" caught him stronger and stronger, trying to drown him.

Suddenly, he woke up. Still dreaming, he found himself, shouting, inside an old building. Maybe a castle or a palace. The floor on which he was lied, as long as he was, was cold and dirty. His clothes and hair were wet, but his hand and feet were dry. There was a mirror inside the room. He walked slowly, ready to attack if necessary, to getting near it. It did not return his image. For a few seconds, it did not give back any one, since, with no warn, a woman inside was looking at him. It was Muriel. "Guilty", she said...

Introduction-tesis statement. Animal rights

Animal rights has always been an extremely polemic topic. Sadly, it is a fact that the current society uses the animal kingdom in order to produce medicaments, food and other products. It is also a fact that they are living beings, and, as that, they feel and suffer as much as humans do. Is an uthopy believe in a world with equal rights for humans and animals? It should not.

4th part of my untitled story

Adam had never been in a place like that. It looked like a dream, but this time was different. He did not remember have fell asleep, and it was like a normal person's dream: full of nonsense scenaries and events. Oniric, subconscious and sorrounding images passed across his mind and his body. He was not concious of being in a dream, but, at the same time, he was concious of that. It was strange and difficult to explain.

He was in a forest under the sea. The Moon shined like the Sun, and the Sun was cold like the Moon. Fishes had fur and legs; and clams, mussels and oysters pretended being butterflies. Seaweeds were static and tall, like trees, but if he looked to any other part, they moved like a normal seaweed would do there. In addition, he could breath under the water without having gills.

He was not able to remember any aspect of his terrenal life. He just existed there and was an spectator of this curious  and unreal stage play. He was calmed, but, when he realized that an abyssal fish was looking at him, he felt absolutely scared. He could not do anything. Just look at it while it looked at him. It was the most terryfing image that he had ever seen (despite he could not remember any previous image). It could have passed hours like that, but, luckily (or not) it went far from him, to a darker place. Then, he could start moving slowly, very slowly. First, his legs, which were like frozen crystals after that terryfing scene. Then, progresively, he could move all his body. Thus, he begun looking for a safer place...

1st exam

Task: Write an opinion paragraph (125-150 words) abou something you really like but most people don't like at all.

Sometimes I remember the first time that I watched Anime and I smile. Before that, I had heard about it from people who did not like it at all or who were absolutely against it. Luckily, I found a group of friends who were fans of Anime such as "One Piece", "Naruto", and "Death Note". They showed me "this world" and i really enjoyed it. Nevertheless, as I have said before, this does not happen in general. This is because Anime and "otakus" (its fans) are often considered "freaks" and weirds; sometimes even fools. Although this kind of behaviour is unfair, it happens every day. From my viewpoint, the Anime shows a different and curious way to see the animation and the kind of drawing and, what is more, it includes a message. Some examples could be the importance of frienships, knowledge and Philosophy. In short, I like Anime because of its visual and psichological aspects and I recommend it to everyone despite the people's general opinion.

Problems/Solutions-Sedentary lifestyle

Problems/Solutions-Sedentary lifestyle

Nowdays, being healthy is considered necessary but, at the same time, it is sometimes like a luxury. Healthy food is normally more expensive than the unhealthy one. Furthermore, the lack of time can make us lazier and gluttonous.

As a result, the frenetic actual pace of life provokes a sedentary lifestile in a great part of the population. This is a complication more serious than we think. Sedentarism and the health problems  that it involves is one of the firsts causes of dead in the First and the Second World. This is because this kind of lyfestile causes lots of illneses, like obesity and hearth diseases. In addition, another consequence are headaches and bad mood.

One possible solution could be making the people aware of this huge amount of problems (specially, the youth). There could be special events for doing sport by an easy and entertaining way for all the ages. Also, voluntary people could give talks about this topic in schools.

This idea has been accomplished in the lasts years and, despite it has worked in many cases, it still being an important problem. We continue being lazy. In addition, we stay too much hours sitting in a chair: watching TV, working, studying and, ironically, receiving this talks.

Another solution could be putting more exercise machines in the parks. This make easier doing sport, and it encourages people to prove specific machins that they used to find only in gyms and specialized shops. Thus, we often find specially old people and/or children using them.

Unfortunately, this action is not enough. It is necessary to look for better ideas. It is true that this two possible solutions help to solve this situation. Nevertheless, we need to find the roots of the problems to find the definitive measure.

It looks like it is impossible to find this solution. The only possibility may be change our way to study, work and, in general, live. We need willpower to look for time to do sport and eat healthy. Our life depends on us.

As a conclusion,  regardless of our pace of life, we must make an effor and do our best in order to be healthier. Some actions such as talks and public exercise machines can help us, but, if we do not know appreciate them, it is like do not doing anything. Because of this, we should follow this famous quote:

So:
